Created by Alison Knapp, Modified on Tue, 12 Dec, 2023 at 3:27 PM by Pauline McCrystal

ATP (Adenosine Tri-phosphate) are small molecules in cells that provide the energy source for all living organisms. It is a by-product of all living things. When living organisms come into contact with surfaces, ATP is left behind. The amount of ATP left on surfaces or in liquids after cleaning is a direct indication of cleanliness.
