How does the overload line on Reveal 3D devices protect against false negative results?

The overload line is a reagent stripe onto the device that completely fades in the presence of a highly positive sample. The addition of an overload line in a lateral flow device prevents false negative results as it presents the user with a visual high positive result and safeguards the hook effect.
