Extracted swabs should be tested as close to the time of extraction as possible. For Veratox test kits, swabs can be stored for up to 24 hours at 4ᵒC after sample collection provided, they have not been extracted yet. Once extracted, swabs should be analysed within 4 hours. For Reveal 3D test kits swabs should be analysed within 3 hours of being extracted.
